PRODUCT METHOD

How CADVYN adapts without losing the truth.

Adaptation is useful only when the app can distinguish the programme’s intention from the training that actually happened. These are the principles behind CADVYN’s approach.

1 · PROGRAMME INTENT

The app first needs to know what the week was meant to achieve.

A useful starting programme reflects the member’s goal, training history, available days, equipment and regular sport. Without that context, later “adaptation” is simply changing one generic workout into another.

CADVYN keeps the programme block as the intended structure. A temporary change to today should not automatically destroy the wider plan or make previous weeks impossible to understand.

Why the distinction matters

If someone planned three workouts but completed two, the programme still shows the intention while the workout record shows the outcome. Both pieces of information are useful. Combining them into a single ambiguous tick would remove the very evidence needed to make a sensible decision.

2 · CANONICAL SESSION STATE

Complete, finished early, in progress and missed are different outcomes.

CADVYN treats the saved completion status as the authoritative session state. Screens such as Today, Train, History and Progress should interpret that state consistently.

A session that ended early may still contain useful work, but it should not be displayed as identical to a fully completed session. Likewise, an unfinished session should remain resumable rather than becoming completed because a screen used a simpler boolean.

3 · EVIDENCE AND PROVENANCE

Imported activity remains evidence—not an automatic claim.

Connected Health can add observations such as activity or workouts. CADVYN preserves where those observations came from. Imported data becomes a completed CADVYN session only when reconciliation rules establish a reliable match.

This protects the record from double counting and prevents a wearable summary from silently overriding the member’s own workout state.

4 · PROPORTIONATE RESPONSE

Not every changed day needs a rebuilt programme.

A cancelled match, unavailable piece of equipment or shorter training window may call for a one-off alternative. That is different from evidence that the whole six-week block needs changing.

CADVYN therefore separates immediate decisions from next-block adaptation. The smallest useful change is often better than constant programme churn.

5 · MEMBER CONTROL

Confirmation matters when the evidence could be incomplete.

A partially logged nutrition day should not support the same conclusion as a day the member has confirmed is complete. Optional connected-health data should not be treated as permission to expose private information to a team. The person using CADVYN remains in control of what they enter, connect and deliberately share.

WHAT THIS DOES NOT MEAN

CADVYN is not making medical decisions.

CADVYN provides training and wellbeing tools. It does not diagnose injury or illness, prescribe treatment, determine return to play or replace appropriately qualified professional advice.

When the app can help

Organising a training week, logging performance, identifying record-based patterns and presenting a clearer training choice.

When a professional is needed

Pain, injury, illness, disordered eating concerns, medical conditions or decisions about safe participation and return to sport.

YOUR PLAN SHOULD KNOW WHAT HAPPENED

Build the plan. Keep the evidence. Understand the next step.
